It was a very competitive event this past weekend at the NY Hayastan Grappling Challenge in Fredonia, NewYork . The event took place in Fredonia, NY at Fredonia High School.  The level of competition was very high; many great matches were held. Teams from NY, PA, Ohio, NC, VT, NH and Canada were in the house to represent.    In the end, we had 5 New Absolute Champions in the house.  12 & Under Absoulte Champion- Michael Vangeest - Red Griffin, Teen Absolute Champion - Kevin Fox - Adventure Karate MMA, Women’s Absolute - Rebecca Heintzman - Power of One, Men’s Gi Absolute - Chris Howard - WNY Self-defense, Men’s No-Gi Absolute - Chris Howard -WNY Self-defense.  Also Gokor Chivichyan Held a 1 day Seminar at the Norman Yonkers' Karate Connection MMA on Sept 25th.  The Seminar Includes 5 Hours of  Gi & No-Gi grappling techniques with a lite lunch.

The event took place in North Hollywood at Gokor Chivichyan's state-of-the-art 10,000 square foot MMA training center. The level of competition was very high; many great matches were held. In the end, Ara Muradyan from Team Hayastan took the Champions Absolute Belt.
