October 10th’s Hayastan Grappling East Coast Championships in Charlotte, NC proved to be a great success as competitors from all around the country including North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York and as far away as California competed for a chance to be crowned as the champion of their weight class and win the championship belt in their division.  Men, women and children of all ages and skill levels participated.  Many teams and associations were represented.  Just to name a few:  Joe Hurst/UNCC/Gracie Barra, GAC, Satsuma, Hannebrink, Alliance, Team ROC, IMB, Gokor’s Team Hayastan and many more.  The Absolute Championship belt was awarded to Joe Baize of Gokor’s Team Hayastan KY.  Joe tore through the competition with amazingly fast leg-locks.  Photos are now available in the photo gallery.  Select “Photo Gallery” and choose the “Charlotte 10/10/09” gallery.  For full results click on the “read more” link below.

Fredonia, NY Hayastan Grappling Challenge is growing bigger & bigger.  We had over 300 Divisional competitors in Gi & No-Gi.  The competition was Fast & Furious, with teams form New Hampshire, Indiana, Ohio, NYC, Kentucy, and all of the surrounding schools in a 5 hour radius.  Gokor's Team Hayastan won the Adult No-Gi Absolute (Joe Baize), Adult Gi Absolute from Team Relson Gracie (Joe SanFilippo), Teen Absolute from Team DNA ( Kenny Rogers),  12 & Under Absolute from Team Bedroc (Alicia Mrzywka).  Not to forget the excellent 2 day seminar put on by Gokor Chivichyan & Ken Harte.  For full results... 

 If you have been to our site before you can see there have been some changes. We recently completely rebuilt the site. It is still under construction but it has all the vital info on upcoming tournaments. All the old pictures and results from prior tournaments will be added in the future.
